nigelb
Having been seduced by 7mm 0 gauge and the North British i have been looking for suitable etched brass models. 2 weeks ago I contacted Dragon models who are now under new ownership to place an order for Celtic connection Agricultural implement wagon . Had a very fast response saying they were away but would get back to me on Tuesday , which they did to say they were out of stock of the required slaters wheels. A couple of days later I get an email telling me they were now in stock by this time had increased my order and this was placed last Friday. Monday morning a delivery was received very well packed. followed by an email asking if i had wanted 3 link couplings that I had mentioned once in the first email. spoke to Susan on the phone and when I place my next order they can be added to the order. What I am getting at is great communications and customer service from this small supplier ( usual disclaimer )
RMweb Premium figworthy Posted August 3, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 3, 2017 As a first time etched kit builder, I ran into a couple of problems with a kit. Following an exchange of emails with Julian (and some photos), I think they've been resolved. I can't fault Julian for the promptness of his replies, or the trouble he's taken with them. As NigelB said, good communications and customer service Adrian
brossard
Just completed Dragons' GWR Drinking Water Tank Wagon. My main problem was getting sufficient heat into the work. The model came out well. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/123628-gwr-drinking-water-tank-wagon-dia-dd1/ John
Signalman Rich
Hello folks. Visiting Railwells couple of weeks ago I bought a Mashima 1227 with 2mm pole pieces for £16.00 ( to go in my Roxey 7mm scale Neilson Crane tank kit) from the helpful new owners (Julian and Susan). I had a very interesting demonstration of the torque available from this seemingly small motor. Amazing. They also had Mashima 1833 lookalikes on the stand for £7.00. It seemed too good a bargain to pass up! I don't know if the Mashima lookalikes are only available at exhibitions. Might be worth a phone call or e-mail if you are in the market for a motor for a future build. Best wishes Rich PS Have any of you seen a workshop build history/ review of the Roxey crane tank? I am looking for any extra advice on the build before plunging in. Sorry if this is the wrong place to mention this.
Shez
Can I complement Taff Vale/ Dragon models on their outstanding customer service. My sister in law was looking to get me an NBR wagon kit for Christmas. Finding the one I wanted was not currently available, I rang them left a message and they rang back within 30 minutes. Following a most helpful conversation, they remembered my sister in laws call and rang her back explaining what was available, and sorting everything out regards payment and shipping. I would like to echo the previous comments on here, and add the usual disclaimer that I am in no way connected with the supplier.
