Where?

When?

What?

Who?

Why?

And did they?

Answers to any two of the above could be usefu.

I could google it, but knowing my luck I'll get Thomas being put down by some Dales vet.

Regards

Ian

Curiosity killed the cat.

For some strange reason, when I attach the information to bring it back, the poster, it disappears, unless I attach two copies.

So now, two.

Any further questions?

To me 'the train collectors society' conjours up an image of a load of elderly gentlemen staring at a stack of sealed boxes and unopened outer cases of rolling stock!

"Oh no we can't take them out of the box the value will drop if sunlight gets on them"

I'm sure it's not like that and I hope the show goes well

Kind of three quarters right, it being wrong when it comes to taking them out and running them. Oh, and a lot of the models are so ancient that the boxes disintegrated years ago.

At few other shows will you see models made in, say, 1910.

Would love to come to one of these events sometime but not this year.  There's a lot going on that weekend elsewhere sadly.

Is there another event later in the year a bit further North?

Even if I have managed to misspoll "collectable"!

Don't worry - the dictionary states it can be spelt either way.

Regrettably Milton Keynes is a bit too far for me, otherwise I'd be there.

To quote the TCS chairman concluding an AGM sevetal yearsago, "let's go play trains". Stuffy they're not. Mint condition items probably won't be run, but there should be plenty of near mint items running, if their previous shows at Sandy are a guide.
