Boggler
Hello, I have a nice new OO Bachmann 57XX from the Western Wanderer set, which is painted in a very rich dark green shade with a shirt button logo, so presumably representing a mid-1930's locomotive. I also have an old Hornby 27XX class open cab pannier with a GWR logo, so presumably post 1942, which is in a far lighter, more blue/green shade of GWR green, as is my other Bachmann 57XX pannier. Which is correct, as far as 'proper' post-1928 green is concerned? I assume the Hornby shade is probably incorrect to start with but I really don't know. I have searched online for the answer but I have ended up more confused than when I started! I'd like to repaint some of the various GWR locomotives that I have to be a consistent late 1930's - early 1940's shade, so any suggestions as to which acrylic colour codes (Railmatch / Humbrol or others) to use would be great. Thanks you Jim
