Why?  In case you spot a 7mm modeller?

In which case, leave them alone, don't touch anything - and report them to Derek!

Sorry, but I'm not opening any links that I don't really know what they are.

You can look at the address without opening up - it's just a link to another thread on here, an item was stolen from last year's show. I hope it doesn't put anyone off going this year, it's always one worth a visit.

That's OK then - but perhaps Ivan should be a little less enigmatic.

But he can overcome that at S4UM by having a go on Enigma Engineering :scratchhead: :sungum:

Just to clarify.

In the 27 Years I have been involved in the organisation of expoEM (North) this is the FIRST time that  theft has been reported.

What Might have happened at other shows in the Manchester area I am not aware of.

The only other theft at expoEM North that I know of was at Wakefield in the 1980s.

Paul

No  you are not under suspicion, although now you mention it  :jester:

I am advised by the Sports Village manager there are no other significant events booked for the weekend. So parking should not be a problem.

See you there.

Tackeroo was put through its paces last night in a Staffordshire village hall.  As the Staffordshire finescale group don't have a clubroom  and all of the members build layouts that are bigger than their homes putting a layout up is always an issue.    I have been working through small electrical and PW issues and last night things moved and turnouts worked.

A small snagging list has been created but I am move comfortable than I have been.

Looking forward to the show.

Message to traders and exhibitors...  talk us through your  run up to the show on this thread, keep it live, keep it current, good or bad keep it at the top of the 'new contents' lets get some folk through though the door!!!

A small  alteration regarding the FREE vintage bus.

It may not be a RED London Routmaster but it could be a RED Manchester Leyland.

The intended service will be (due to the distance involved) an HOURLY service from/to Urmston Station, via Chapel Lane to the Sports Village.

This unfortunately on the Saturday will only be able to meet alternate trains - but every train on the Sunday.

So if coming by train book through to Urmston and have a FREE Vintage bus ride.

I will be putting Clevedon up this weekend and giving it a shakedown. Hasn't been out since York last year so am expecting a few cobwebs!

Looking forward to the show though. Looks a good line up.

Lanarkshire Models & Supplies have taken delivery of a card reader for use at exhibitions so, hopefully we will be able to take credit cards at EXPO.

This reader needs to have the card holder present and is not for taking cards remotely ie, over the phone. Our website does that for us.

See you all at Manchester.

Dave Franks

Yes, dragged kicking and screaming into the twenty first century.

This is the provisional timetable for both days, subject to a timing check.

The timetable is designed to meet trains from Manchester in the morning, shifting to meet trains to Manchester in the afternoon on both days.

Please note the service will be operated by a real bus, my Manchester MCW bodied Leyland PD2 3706 (3706 VM), the Routemaster is currently off the road.

We're supposed to be getting that new tv soap next year, I think it's called Coronation Street or something and the following year it's going to be in colour whoo hoo.

On screen sub-titles are available these days.  You may find they are of assistance.

I know they are, I live in Yorkshire.............
