An excellent unit. but a bit of overkill for the motorised lifting bridge you mentioned, I have used one of the tiny gear head motors, driving a cam to give a realistic slow start and finish, with the chains not actually lifting anything, merely the weight of the bridge keeping the chains tight.

The motor on the one referred to will suit a turntable, as although 6 RPM, thats at full voltage, and at reduced power slower running is easy to get, or simply add pulleys etc.
