sidmouth
I paid a visit to the Northampton and Lamport Railway on Monday to see visiting 1450 from the Severn Valley Railway running a short distance along the former Northampton to Market Harborough railway the railway has an established base at Pitsford and Brampton station . Track is laid down to Broughton crossing although not yet open . A footpath runs alongside the line on what a former double track formation What is rather nice are the two signal boxes at Pitsford and Pitsford sidings . An interesting timetable of passenger and freight runs making full use of the line Northampton and Lamport Railway by Martin Creese, on Flickr Northampton and Lamport Railway by Martin Creese, on Flickr Northampton and Lamport Railway by Martin Creese, on Flickr Northampton and Lamport Railway by Martin Creese, on Flickr

Trog
Pitsford Sidings signal box is ex Wolverton Works, controlled parts of the Internal Rail system Richard I remember 'helping' to de-commission it at Wolverton, in that I lifted and scrapped all the S&C it controlled and had the P-Ways contract scrap man gas axe the rodding. A couple of days later a little yellow S&T van turned up and the occupants proceeded to unload various oil cans and tool boxes. They then looked at the big hole in front of the box and the twisted ends of the rods sticking out of the bottom of it. At which point light dawned and they decided that perhaps they would not bother to do their maintenance work after all.
