Well 47701 and the 150 were in John's (47423) video on the previous thread, but there were other 47s too, so perhaps there will be yet more announcements in due course. The BR blue loco that looks like it could be 47625 City of Truro and the GWR one that could be 47500 or 47628 would certainly wing there way to me if they are announced later. The current announcements are too "late" for me unfortunately.

Fantastic announcement! Excellent to see 47701 in NSE, The FGW class 150 and GW Mk3a Sleepers. Admittedly a bit meh with 47306 though to be honest looks very nice so may still order one at a later date.

Just need to figure out how to explain the forthcoming dent in my bank account though to the other half . . . Again . . .

I believe this is a quirk of their ordering system and they then manually issue a refund.

Well I hope they still have them available for preorder in 2 weeks cause I don't get paid again until then. Fingers crossed

Do Kernow always take full payment when you try to preorder something?

Yes.  It is the way their system works. For items not expected in stock within 28 days they then return the funds to you and ask for payment when the item arrives.  For items expected within 28 days you have already paid and it simply arrives on your doorstep when it gets there.  This is fully explained on their web site.

Some savvy announcements from the Camborne Crew.  More recent liveries seem to be in demand as BR blue fades into our memories as steam did a generation back.  And as ever for Kernow MRC there is a significant geographical connection with all these items having run in Cornwall.

A "shove-duff" might make it to my display stock and I have a rake of toothpaste Mk1s and a NSE 50 so this would be a suitable addition though the rest are too recent for me.  I wish them well with what should be popular additions to their stock.  Who ever thought we might one day be offered a pack of three sleeping cars representing around 1/3 of the total fleet in that livery?

That's fine when you live in the UK (unless you have a Barclaycard who credit the refund to your card account immediately but don't charge the original amount until the following month) but if you live overseas you will get charged for three fx transactions - when the card company process the original order, when they refund that amount and again when you are charged when the item is actually despatched.

Only option to avoid this is to contact Kernow directly and place the order over the phone which, of course, can be difficult and expensive if you live on the other side of the world.

I have discussed exactly this scenario with Kernow MRC as it potentially affected me prior to returning home.  The way you can avoid all those bank fees and a phone call / email is to mark "Take full payment now" in the "Comments" box as you check out of the online store.  They will do so and you pay exactly the same price as you otherwise would.  The difference is that you pay one bank fee not three and you know that it's already paid for when it eventually turns up.  I reckon that's a win-win situation.  This is also information readily available on their web site.

Wow,

What a lot of models !

I'd like 47306 to run with my mIlitary stuff . They state " as it was working from st blazey " but my understanding was it went down for an open day and then festered down there. I'd love to see evidence if it actually working down there as it would fit a Cornish plank as well. Then .

That is exactly how I do it, and what Kernow advised.  Works for me.

As mentioned above it's good to see Hornby doing LE models again. Of note (to me anyway) is that this is 250 models. At one time they wouldn't consider anything less than 1,000 models for a LE

A new factory maybe? Willing to do smaller batches? With the ways things go these days I'm surprised companies make 500 models in regular runs.
