Caledonian
I have some nice photies [in books] of some of their locos, but all in black and white, Under the NCB they appear to have taken on the usual Northumberland Area dark blue, but all I can get from the pre-nationalisation period is that the livery was quite dark - with very large and spectacular looking lettering. It could be dark blue, or it could be green. Anybody know?
Norm81
I don't know if there might be any information or colour pictures up at Woodhorn Colliery Museum, might be worth a try?
Caledonian
Always worth a try indeed, but if in doubt grot and grime can cover a multitude of sins
