chaz
I have just put an Econami 100 sound decoder into a US ng loco with a "current keeper" (Soundtraxx's term for a keep-alive). The performance is disappointing. The current keeper only works on the sound - it keeps this going for about ten seconds but does nothing for either the motor or lights. It doesn't keep the loco moving through a stall and the working lights flicker. Is this usual? Or is there something I need to do (a CV to set?)? I should say that I have checked the wiring and it is as per the manual. Chaz
RMweb Gold ngtrains.com Posted September 11, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 11, 2017 Something wrong there Chaz. Current deeper works on the whole decoder. Should work right out of the packet if wired correctly - which you say you have. There is no CV to turn it on. Not sure what to suggest as I have fitted loads of them without a problem
