I do like a challenge !!

This 8" x 8" square baseboard will contain :

A canal

A crane

A narrow gauge line, with wagon turntables

A Victorian style railway overbridge

A single, standard gauge platform

A warehouse

A small goods yard

Two high level rail bridges

In 4mm.

Ah, Peafore, Eeh-hem or Double-zero...

As the track is unlikely to be operational, although fitting a FY each side would be possible, I might opt for 7ft just to be different.

Ahhh - I was beginning to think you meant 4mm to the furlong......

(Hand up!)  I know, I know; its a 8" x 8" photo taken over a layout with:

A canal

A crane

A narrow gauge line, with wagon turntables

A Victorian style railway overbridge

A single, standard gauge platform

A warehouse

A small goods yard

Two high level rail bridges

or maybe a picture of the real thing!

And you thought you could fool me!!!

Brian.

But does it feature a bathroom ceramics factory, or any of their products??

Not decided yet, I need to assess how much room there is left once the list above has been added.

But a butty or barge with said items might be included.

Actually, I've made this scene before...

I made a twin track module for a group module project shown at the West of England show in 2009. It was 2ft long and took two weeks to make - I called it 'Frenzied Wharf'.

This will obviously be a cut down version, but the essence will be the same.

I'm not so sure.

These days, I'm led to believe that toilet waste tends to be stored onboard canal boats, until it can be disposed of at "sanitation stations" etc.

However, I suspect that this might not always have been the case - let's just say that, at various times, I could imagine some people being reluctant to drink canal water ... .

Perhaps they missed the toilet too.

Odd as it may sound, a nice cooling pint of the Kennet and Avon would not be my first choice, even now.....
