Drew-1986
Hi, I am currently researching freight traffic in and out of Inverness around the late 90s and early 2000s. I've come across many useful images and one that has caught my eye is the Safeway Intermodal traffic that used the Inverness Harbour sidings. My question is if anyone can help identify the type of wagons being used in this image and if the are available in OO gauge? https://www.railscot.co.uk/img/36/565/ Any help would be greatly appreciated

Fat Controller
Hard to tell from the photos, but I'm fairly certain they used the 'Euro-twins' that had been built for Channel Tunnel traffic for this traffic ( http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/ewstwins ). Bachmann have done a very nice model fo this, but it's not currently listed.

Hesperus
I'm fairly sure that one of the old issues of Model Rail that came free in Rail magazine had an article on these with scale drawings of the Safeway trailers.
TRAILRAGE
DEMU Update magazine summer 2002 issue 30 has a two page article by Nick Gurney on making these wagons. It also mentions some pictures in Rail Express 74 which has some pictures of the containers. Hope this helps Cheers Trailrage

You wouldn’t happen to know which exact issue? Edited November 26, 2018 by Drew-1986
RMweb Gold TravisM Posted November 27, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 27, 2018 Try looking on eBay as there’s usually one or two pairs listed each week.
Hesperus
You wouldn’t happen to know which exact issue? I'm sorry I don't, I had it in the late 90's but all my magazines from back then were chucked out after living in a damp shed. I've looked on Ebay and can't see it listed at the moment. It was around the time they were printing card kits inside the covers which really won't have helped its chances of survival.
