I'm 69 and I've lived all my life in East Lothian close to the East Coast Mainline,East of Edinburgh.I can go back to the mid 1950s when it was all steam and in some ways the Golden Twilight of Steam. I saw the transition to diesel and later the electrification of the railway. Over the years I've had Triang, Hornby,Fleischmann,Athearn and Kato! I never worked on the railway but I travelled a fair bit around Europe between 1970 and 1993.
