swiftbeam
Hi, Really sorry to ask such a basic question, but I'm new to DCC and still finding my feet. I want to simply turn on the table lights on my Hornby Pullman dinning coach, that's it. I've tried to research it, but just getting confused. Could anybody give me a simple wording of what wire to hook up with or diagram? Obviously red and black to the pickups. Many thanks.
Suzie
Red and black to the pickups, and blue with one of the function outputs (Green F1, Purple F2, white, or yellow typically) to the wires that did go to the pickups. swiftbeam
Why is nothing simple. Do I cut all the bogie wires and join them together, then attach the joined red and blacks to the black and red of the decoder. Then take the blue and green and attach them both to the joined red and blacks that are now on the body side? The bogie wires go to PCB's and they are also joined together. Is it just a case of cutting the bogie wires and fitting the decoder in the middle regardless of where the wires go or PCB's? I guess so as that's what the power would do anyway?? Suzie
Yes, you understand fully. It is all quite easy when you get down to it.
