cal.n
A class 158? Seriously, a smart move would be to make mk5 coaches with at least a few in the UK for measuring, and examples in service early next year with the Caledonian Sleeper and more with TPE (including a mk5 DVT/DBSO)
Southernman46
At last? R564_Cement_Wagon_Blue_Circle.jpg Oooo that would be wagon announcement of the decade - it is 50 years since the Thirsk accident that did for DP2. One in preservation for scanning - couple of excellent scratch-builds on the circuit for reference - so why not

RMweb Gold JohnR Posted November 17, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 17, 2017 THe link appears to have the word "cement" in it - a clue maybe? Sadly not - it is just the word "Announcement" but cut off by RMweb.

RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted November 17, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 17, 2017 Perhaps a new steam industrial loco that was used in the cement industry.
pete_mcfarlane
Hopefully they've seen sense and finally got round to producing a live steam CIE Turf burner in S scale. Me and my mate will definitely buy one.
Clearwater
Hopefully they've seen sense and finally got round to producing a live steam CIE Turf burner in S scale. Me and my mate will definitely buy one. Don’t you think that’s a bit too mainstream? Surely they’ll be going for something way more niche?

Iltman
I hate to disappoint but I’m reliably informed it’s the mega Garrett that The Southern proposed for the west of England line in 1934, in malachite green
woodenhead
It'll be the fell, sorry it's compulsory that some one says that at the outset of every announcement. Nik You've stolen my line, I'm at a loss what to suggest now. Stephenson's Rocket with matching L&M railway coaches
pete_mcfarlane
Stephenson's Rocket with matching L&M railway coaches Let's hope they get their model of Rocket right. It should be in it's rebuilt 1830 form with smokebox and near horizontal cylinders . Triang made the schoolboy error of doing the loco in its original 1829 Rainhill trials form, with the steeply inclined cylinders and no smokebox, and then matching it with L&M coaches </pedant>
stewartingram
Cement? M&GN used a lot of concrete! So Hatton's ARE turning their attention to E.Anglia at last.... Stewart
