50's coal merchant lorry

Pocketbond do an Austin K6- lots of these were WD-surplus, and could be bought for a song. Bedford 'O' series were also common. Oxford Diecast do some of the variant with the angular bonnet.

My father worked for a coal merchant in the late fifties .His company used a pair of Bedford OW ,a Ford Thames and two horses and carts ,another local merchant who supplied smokeless fuels fleet included a half cab Leyland coach with the area behind the rear axle cut down to the window level
