Omagh - revisited

This week I am pleased to report that Omagh, with some 'modellers licence' is progressing in 00 gauge again. At the weekend I started building the supporting framework for the layout around the walls of the shed. On Monday I built the actual baseboards for my 9mm ply and tonight I am putting the finishing touches to the framework to give me shelving around the underside of the framework. By the weekend I will be able to complete all the supporting framework and start transferring my layout plans onto the plywood surface. Once this is complete I will be able to cut the ply with a jig saw, raise the trackbed to form the embankments and provide access over the road bridge. If all goes to plan I will have photos in due course.
