t.s.meese
Does anyone make a sheet of 4mm transfers for the plates (builder, owner, repair, etc) found on wagon solebars (Big 4 through to BR)? I've looked in the usual places (Powsides, HMRS, Fox) but I might have missed something. A product code number would be great... Thanks Tim.

Thanks Tim. http://nbr4mm.co.uk/wagonparts/wagonplates.php Should give you a start, they aren't quite what you are after but a bit of creative painting and weathering they'll look the part. Repair plates are quite small so you're probably best getting a small brush and freehanding those on, HMRS do some sheets (the ones with no smoking signs etc on) with the vacuum string stars on, with that you're probably about sorted. brossard
There is a big hole in the market AFIK for solebar data. I have never seen the info that you get on coach solebars except on more recent RTR models. Even 7mm kit transfers don't usually have this. I have made these myself but transfers would be nice. The link to wagon plates is good to know. John

micklner
Slater did do 4mm NER/LNER plates for their NER Hoppers and Brake van. Rumour has it they are producing 4mm kits again again in the new year.
RMweb Premium Compound2632 Posted December 11, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 11, 2017 Worsdell forever has printed NER solebar numberplates, inspiring me to experiment along the same lines for Midland numberplates, which are rather similar. I'll report in my wagon-building thread in due course.
