Invicta Informant
Paul announced to the Erith club members on Wednesday evening (club night for us) that the exhibition was another success. Visitor numbers are marginally up from last year with about 2,000 people through the door over the course of the weekend. One independent observer has said to Paul that this show is now the second largest show in the South of England in terms of attendance, size and reputation. Only Ally Pally in March is bigger and considering that show is organised by Warners with support from The Model Railway Club and is sponsored and supported by Bachmann, Hornby, Dapol and Graham Farish, we here in the Erith club do a pretty good job. Paul is looking at expanding next year by utilising some of the classrooms and we will need to explore what off-site parking we can use in the vicinity. The dates for next year's Longfield show are the 26th & 27th January 2019 and I shall start the thread for that show in December. Before that we shall be organising our smaller show (about 40 stands) at The Leigh Academy in Dartford on the 15th & 16th September 2018.
