dibber25
I learned, recently, of the death of Don Lovelock. Don was the son of Douglas Lovelock, Station Master at Black Dog Halt on the Calne branch. He was a keen railway photographer during the last years of WR steam and his photographs of Black Dog Halt provided me with much help in building my model during the 1980s. He also loaned me the station running-in board when I displayed the layout at the Easter show in London, and subsequently had the board returned to its location on the remains of the halt platform, alongside what is now a cycle path. He was a delightful man and an enthusiast and modeller. (CJL)
