Arthur Wellsley
Hello. I have inherited a large amount of Hornby 00. There is quite alot of track. However, for the most part there are boxes of trains (engines?). The boxes are for the most part in extremely good condition, and most of them seem never to have been opened. So the help I need with suggestions as to the best place to sell them. I have read on RMweb that there used to be a classified section, and then that went due to issues, and then was replaced by some form of marketplace, but all the links to that seem broken. I see that there is a section about ebay on these forums. Is my best (or even only) option ebay? Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions. RMweb Gold Harlequin Posted January 2, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 2, 2018 (edited) Hi, There are a number of companies that specialise in buying up used model railway parts. The most well-known is www.hattons.co.uk. They are a well-respected retailer but I don't know how they rate against other companies when it comes to buying from you. Other buyers regularly advertise in magazines such as BRM and Railway Modeller, both of which you can find in big supermarkets and newsagents.
