two tone green
http://www.esu.eu/en/downloads/software/ECoS-firmware/ New firmware out for the ECoS which adds new functionality to the joystick for the up and down positions. The user can now add whatever function the user wants to up or down position and may be useful with the new brake feature on ESU decoders just introduced. It would give the user a hardware throttle and brake arrangement. Other changes listed in the change log. Mobile 2 update includes a wifi stability improvement. two tone green
Have you updated your decoders to the latest firmware? Without it you cannot use the new brake feature as you need a new CV adding by the firmware update.
RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted January 9, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 9, 2018 So have downloaded latest firmware on to Lokprogrammer. Does it not then update the chip firmware when you upload a project? Cheers Phil
two tone green
Yes, just do a firmware update of the decoder and it will add CV179 which is needed for the new brake function. Have a look here for how to set it up. http://www.southwestdigital.co.uk/New%20design%20news.htm
bigal10
And, for anyone who is a Zimo decoder user, especially with Pauliebanger's excellent braking feature, you can now have Brake / Horn (or whatever takes your fancy) on the joystick up / down. Marvellous !!! Regards, Alan.
