SouthernBlue80s
I have built a micro layout/photo plank. And wanted a back scene just something small. To give you an idea here it is. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/129894-stabled-on-shillston-road/ The main purpose of the backscene is to fill the area behind the tracks and probably it will continue behind the side that houses the shed and the wall so it will form an L shape I ordered this - which is perfect 9inches tall as 15inches would overwhelm such a small layout. As I hit the pay button I noticed it was for N gauge. http://www.petersspares.com/i-d-backscenes-204n-photo-backscene-9-inches-high-distant-town-10ft-long-n-gauge.ir Now will it look OK as in distant countryside. Or will it look out of scale. Before I change the order. Any thoughts on this please? Will it look OK? anyone else used an N gauge backscene on a 00 layout Thanks
brianusa
I've used an OO backscene on an O layout and it looks OK in the right places. Brian.
Guest Model.Maker
Quite difficult to scale distant scenery, all that will happen is the landscape will seem larger and any features further away
SouthernBlue80s
Thanks. I will take a punt on it. Set it up. Take a picture or two and post them up and see what it looks like.
Gordon A
I have used a 3mm cut out scale town back scene on Newbridge sidings, with a 2mm town back scene behind it. They look fine. Gordon A

Booking Hall
I've used an N gauge one on an 00 layout. The perspective is good, but unfortunately, they're not very tall.

Thanks, that shows that an N gauge back scene can look right. Not very tall is what I am after. So all good
SouthernBlue80s
As suspected an N gauge backscene works perfectly well with a 00guage layout. Here is the proof Cheers Steve
Tomr91
I think that looks superb. Really adds a bit of depth.
