RSS Fetcher
At last, I feel I have gathered up enough rolling stock to turn my project from being a 'railway layout' into a 'model railway'. There are links to some of these models (and more) in the side bar. "June, 2012" Local freight services are short, to let the engines cope with island's gradients. The railway uses its class 11 and class 33 diesel locomotives for most of these workings. International workings are longer, and currently contracted to GB Railfreight (GBRf). The class 66 locomotive has been brought from The Netherlands and is running in its first GBRf livery. The railway runs passenger services from Monday to Saturday, and the local transport preservation group provides the passenger service on Sundays and National Day. The island has a holiday and celebrates all kinds of railway transport on National Day. National Day is officially on the first Sunday in June, but in practice the railway holds frequent rehearsals throughout the year.
