Just got back from the Crawley show at Horsham (?)

Really enjoyed it, great venue with enough space to get around. Amazing home made cake on the refreshments counter, and excellent layouts.

Always great to see TWY again. Me and Mrs KDG really enjoyed the large club layout by the door too (sorry forgot the name) excellent scenery with trains running through it.

Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Had a good look at the 4TCs on the Kernow stand......mmmmmmmm nice

I'm in complete agreement with the previous post. An excellent show, high quality layouts and a good mix of traders. If you meant the main hall KDG the 00 layout  would have been Wellbridge a layout I have a great regard for.

If you are at a loose end tomorrow people try to get to this show if you are within striking distance.

Wellbridge was indeed a lovely layout and probably my highlight (though I do have a soft spot for Arun Quay).  The impressive forced perspective of Habbaniya, Iraq 1941 worth a mention too.

Epsom and Epsom Town was for sale I noticed.

There was indeed a good variation of traders, though found the prices of new RTR rolling stock (specifically) pretty hefty (which of course is no reflection on this specific show)!  Fully appreciate the reasons behind this, but having price-checked a few items online prior it was a shame to come away empty-handed all the same - unfortunately I couldn't justify the difference, even accounting for postage.

Simply Southern were in attendance (not shown on the website, I don't think) and advised that new Dark Star (of Partridge Green) stock should be arriving soon - a personal highlight due to local interest, especially as I've been unable to obtain any from the previous batch...

I didn't buy anything either, just enjoyed watching the layouts.

TWY was the reason I started modelling modern image 20 plus years ago and building cambrian kits its great to see it still going strong. Still making the kits too, some of them even run......
