JST
I have been seating the net but failing to find these. The ones I want are the freestanding ones for platforms. I can find loads of sites who will supply the names to put on the boards but not the boards themselves. Have I missed an obvious supplier? Any help would be appreciated. I have seven platforms some of which are three metres long so I will need quite a few signs! Thanks
timbowilts
You don’t mention what scale you are working in? That would help generate replies. Tim T

Allan. Thanks Allan. I am in the middle of creating a large layout with loads to do so was hoping to buy some 'off the shelf" boards to stick names on. I guess is this is not possible I will have to add it to the list of jobs to do.

RMweb Gold unravelled Posted February 13, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 13, 2018 Just to confuse things, there are several different styles of GW nameboard, probably dependant on date of construction, and/or originator of the line. As well as those made from cast iron letters on wooden boards, there are some very elegant one piece cast iron signs. RIMG1038 by David Harvey, on Flickr I need some of this style in 4mm, but am still working on them. Dave
Nick Holliday
Scalelink also do one, courtesy of PDMarsh, including etched lettering. http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/Smiths_Components_for__OO__.html - some way down this page, and rather more expensive than the Dart ones, but longer as well. JST
There are indeed more than one type but I shall be going for the later type (end of steam era as per Exeter St Davids) rather than the etched type. Thanks for info anyway. Edited February 13, 2018 by JST
