RMweb Premium Dave Searle Posted March 15, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 15, 2018 Hi, We've now added a new layout to the show: Cheffley, OO, SR set in the late 1930s featuring EMUs on the Waterloo services. This is a new layout making what we understand will be only its third exhibition appearance. Cheers,Dave

sharris
Dave, if it's not top secret, do you have a list of demonstration stands for this year's show?
RMweb Premium Dave Searle Posted April 19, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted April 19, 2018 Dave, if it's not top secret, do you have a list of demonstration stands for this year's show? Hi, I don't think there are any modelling demos. Under "Demonstrators & Societies" in the brochure we have: 2mm Association Epsom & Ewell Model Railway Club Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Trust South Western Circle The 2mm Association will be presenting their road-show with various 2mm items on display (including a model of the 2-4-0 locomotive "Epsom") and the we (the Epsom club's "little" people) will be showing progress on our embryonic 2FS LB&SCR "Lewes" layout. Both will be happy to explain how we do things. The SW Circle usually have a display of models on their stand. Hope this helps, Regards, Dave

black and decker boy
We are coaled up, watered and ready for a full day sorting mineral wagons and spoil tippers. Even the rain has stopped so might take a ride on the railway in the car park later.

RMweb Gold bcnPete Posted April 28, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 28, 2018 Just back from the show - only managed a 2hr visit due to a few family commitments to honour. Once again, a really good show with an excellent variety of quality layouts. Very nice show guide too, well worth 50p outlay Good to have a catch up with Ian on Freshwater which was running very smoothly. Some superb additions to the scenery including the newsagents, signal cabin and 3D printed station building. Quick chat with Nigel, David and Ian on the 2FS Roadshow stand and Dave Searle on the EEMRS stand with the 2FS Lewis layout. Very pleased to meet Ian too and his superb 2FS Modbury layout...first time I have seen it and the colours, tones, lighting and rolling stock all spot on. Lastly, really enjoyed to see the P4 layout Pwllheli. Although not my preferred BR Blue era, the scenery is beautifully captured and the steam special with Black 5 and maroon MK II rake was a nice touch. Spent a long time watching this one. Looking forward to next years show already...many thanks to the organisers - a few pics from me below... 2FS Freshwater... 2FS Modbury... P4 Pwllheli...
