LSWR 4mm roof profile

Hello guys, looking for a possible source for a roof.

Despite the text description of the coach I am building being an elliptical roof profile, which turns out not quite correct more of a low elliptical or shallow.
Having compared the coach end, it seems like it's close or spot on to the LSWR bogie coach roof profile, problem is I can't seem to source one and also one long enough to cover a 61ft coach in OO / 4mm.

Would anyone have a source for a pre-formed LSWR coach roof?

Did think of them and did look at their site, guess I will have to see if they will allow a non member to acquire one if they do... nightmare finding a roof.

Chris Knowles-Thomas was selling LSWR profile roofs in two widths (but can't remember the lengths) on the SRG stand at the Southampton model railway exhibition in January. It may be worth contacting him to see if he can help.

Thanks for the replies I have been chasing some up, the South western circle sadly doesn't do a roofs, the Southern Railway group.... yes I think I have looked before, but could never find anyone  to contact... or emails or anything a long those lines, just looks like an abandoned Yahoo group.

Hi Matt,

 

Roxey Mouldings have a plastic eliptical roof section that is part of their coach kits, but these appear to be vacuum formed and are quite delicate.  Hornby have a more substantial roof moulding on their recently released Maunsell rebuilds, but I don't suppose they will be available as spares.  Anyway, have contacted Chris to see what the score is on his roofs as I would consider using them on my coaches if an improvement on the Roxey roof and will post an update here when I find out.

Yes, at the moment I can supply aluminium extruded roof sections to suit the L&SWR flattened ellipse roof profile for both 8ft wide and 8ft 6in wide coaches and similar.

 

I believe it's the same as used to be in PC later Wheeltapper coach kits.

 

£2 per piece approx 272mm long, equivalent to 68ft in 4mm scale, + postage.

Hi Chris,
 Funny I just sent you an email, as it was my last attempt to find one. From the description I believe the coach is 8ft 11ft wide, 35.6mm So looks like the closest is the 8ft 6. I did build a few PC models kits so I am familiar with them.
Sounds Idea, I did send you a message by email before but I appreciate your response and I will await your return email.
