johna
Being a new subscriber to BRM from February 2018 I didn't get the Jan 18 issue with the start of Phil Parkers new micro layout called Didsbury Green. I have tried to download a digital issue but you seem to be unable to buy a single issue so can anyone tell the supplier of the baseboard, the size of the layout and the type of track used . ie code 100/75 please. I do have the Feb/March issues Regards Johna

Harry2013
Maybe I've misread, but I cant see where the baseboard size is specified. However it is built as a snug fit to a plastic box whose size is given 111cm x 22.5, hope this helps a bit Edited February 24, 2018 by Harry2013
johna
Track and points have been ordered and once the weather improves I will be able to get into the garage to construct the baseboard using the traditional 2x1 timber and 9mm ply top. Milano
Looking forward to this build too. Is there much playability using this track plan?

sb67
I really like the layout and have thought about doing my version, good luck Johna, I'll be following this with interest. Steve.
Guest Jack Benson
Hi, Having just unpacked the baseboard bits from SMS, I am wondering how to actuate the turnouts as the 'space' under the layout is just 47mm deep. Cheers JB
sb67
Could you use wire in tube or a rod under the baseboard, are you using Electrofrog points? Steve.
Guest Jack Benson
Hi Steve, Another member has suggested SEEP PM4* because they are relatively compact, self latching with a polarity switch for my Code 75 Electrofrogs - I just need a very compact power source for the turnouts - the loco control is powered by a wallwart. sb67
Thanks JB, I've never used point motors, be interested to know when you find a power source. Steve.

Guest Jack Benson
Steve, Combine a Gaugemaster WM1 wall mounted power supply with a CDU. It should also have enough 'grunt' to run a handheld loco controller, I am using a W handheld as it is OK with can and coreless motors. cheers JB
