You probably all knew of this already but, for those who haven't, longtime supplier of Swiss outline stock (especially BEMO) WINCO are shutting down at the end of this month. Advert in current Continental Modeller.

Other suppliers will no doubt be available, but sad nevertheless. Nothing lasts forever.

Peter & Yvonne have been very helpful over the years especially in the days before the ease of internet shopping they were always prepared to find even more obscure bits :)

Rhätia was made a lot easier being able to get exactly what I wanted with many bits bought through them :)

I ordered some Swiss n gauge stock from them a couple of weeks ago, with my models there was the usual newsletter plus some extra information.

In summary: After 29th March this year their website will be updated to how the items they still have in stock, once sold they are gone.

Contact with them will be by e mail or letter, not phone.

They say "Although we will be retiring from the day to day workings of WINCO the sale of European models will continue for some time yet".

So they are not fully closing just yet.

I live just up the road from them and hate going to pick up stuff from them - always end up leaving with more that I went for!

They told me last year they were packing up, TBH I half didn’t believe them as he enjoyed the business so much but they have done what they said they would

Check out GrumpyPet on eBay - that is Peter’s name there :)

Sad to see them go, they have been great to talk to over the time I have dealt with them.

Yes a typically dry bit of humour :)

Funnily enough I'm just sorting out two crates of trees for the HOm saved off Rhätia and there are a pile of the tallest trees supplied by Yvonne when no one else was interested in a bulk order! Yvonne said yes but it may take a while, it did take a couple of months but the price was good and as progress was fairly glacial on that one timing was great.
