Problem with search facility - or is it me ?

Can anyone tell me if something has changed in the Forum Search Facility please ?

I've been trying to look up topics using keywords which I would expect to lead to appropriate topics, instances:- (1) Hornby P2,(2) Hornby L1 Tank loco,(3) Peters Spares .

What I get as results seems to contain anything that's not relevant and no results for what I'm looking for - not even reference to my search keywords. I've not experienced any problems with this previously up until the last couple of weeks.

My laptop is running up to date Windows 10 and Internet Explorer.

Any advice will be welcome please, even if it points to me missing something obvious.

Regards,

John

Thanks brossard and Enterprisingwestern, that's a almost a relief , though of course I'm sorry there appears to be a fault on the Forum functionality.

It would be interesting to see a response from Andy Y or Moderators, to know if they are aware of the situation and whether there is a solution.

Will await any further responses with interest.

Regards,

The issue was made worse by Google removing their site search app which was integrated with the site. There will be a substantial software upgrade in the next month which will address the issue (and introduce a lot more functionality).

In the meantime just go to Google and search for something and include 'rmweb' in your search terms and it should be OK.

Thanks for the explanation and advice about the work around Andy, good to know you were aware and have the matter in hand.

Thing with this sort of problem is I never can tell whether the fault lies with 'the system' or If I'm missing something obvious.

Regards,

John
