Drew,

Thanks for a great day, I got a lot of photos which will, hopefully, inform my loco-shed build over the next few months.

Lousy weather, but hey ho, British summer!

Thanks again

Simon

Dear Drew and team,

I just wanted to thank you and your assistants for being such excellent hosts and so accommodating of my tribe of 4 under 4s (including pram) and letting us dip in and out of the tour as childcare/sanity/parental retribution demanded.

We all enjoyed our visit and hope to do it again. Please thank all involved in making the day such a success.

Regards

Duncan

I'll chip in a few words if I may.. Major props to Drew, Harry and Lee for towing us around, offering a great amount of info, and generally being top hosts. Thanks to Didcot Railway Centre and it's staff, and thanks to the other members of our 'crew' for making it a cracking day out.

Stick my name down for the next one. And the next.

Utterly recommended, the thought and planning that went into it must have been quite an effort; concise information delivered with humour, yet practised and professional. Stars, the lot of you!

Cheers,

Bernie

I'd like to add my thanks too. Edward and I had a great time. A great tour and thoroughly recommended.

Good of you to get the temperature turned down to something humane as well! I know it's a modelling group, but there really was no need to arrange ad hoc showers....

To Drew and all the team at Didcot, thanks for another very enjoyable tour, I always learn a bit more on every tour I do.  It is always interesting to see the progress being made on all those projects hidden from view.

If you have any interest in the GWR and have never been on this tour, remember to put your name down for 2019, you wont be disappointed.

Hi All,

As always it was a real pleasure to be able to share the wonderful collection with such a friendly and enthusiastic bunch. I'm glad you all enjoyed it. Thanks must also go to Stationmaster Mike and his annual extravaganza in Radstock Signalbox!

We really must do it again sometime...

All the best,

Castle

PS: Post some pictures! I didn't take any - I was too busy wittering on...

Thanks Drew, I also had a great day on my first visit to Didcot GWS.

Despite the weather I took plenty of photos, and bought more books (I am clutching a bag full of books in the photo above).

Here are some random photos of the day.

Soon after opening when the shed was silent.

Drew and team

Many thanks to you all for a wonderful day out. Loads of fascinating facts excellently presented. A real privilege to get into many unseen areas and so much information.

Thanks to you and all your folks for sparing us your time and letting us be part of the very active scene at Didcot.

Must now get on with some modelling!!

Kindest regards.

Roger
