217 RIVER FLESK
An off the wall question if I may, the model of 34081 that Hornby did a few years back in Malachite green, but with BR number & British Railways written on the tender - is that representing a livery that the loco carried during it's early BR years or the livery as carried now in preservation? Cheers, Mike C

Cheers, Mike C If memory serves, she did wear malachite green when new, however I think the model 92 Squadron is as preserved
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted March 14, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 14, 2018 I think 34081 as modelled has the safety valves in the rear position, thus confirming she is in preserved condition.

Wickham Green
Delivered Sept 48 BR green April 50 according to Bulleid Society The question then is whether the tender was originally lettered ( presumably in SOUTHERN style ) or blank ? .......... no doubt "The Book of ...." will say. bigherb
The question then is whether the tender was originally lettered ( presumably in SOUTHERN style ) or blank ? .......... no doubt "The Book of ...." will say. There is photographic record of 34081 in Malachite with British Railways and numbering in Southern style but sans nameplates which appear not have been fitted until repainted into BR green. But I invoke rule one.
