RMweb Premium Welly Posted March 14, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 14, 2018 I just watched this on YouTube of a cine film taken on the LCGB tour of the S&D on the 5th March 1966. Scenes include Salisbury, Templecombe, Highbridge (and shed), Evercreech Junction, Bath Green Park (and shed) then some shots on the last southbound S&D. No sound at all but in colour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohbiUXBLG2c

Aire Valley
Cannards grave ?
RailWest
Yes, I wondered about Cannards, as 9:07 would appear to be the foot-crossing at the south end of Evercreech New station?
Aire Valley
Yes the last shot is Evercreech New so Cannards Grave with the 2 very close to each other farm crossing bridges must be right on a down train, with Evercreech New the next in the film. RailWest
Thanks. That would confirm my suspicion therefore that the signal on the right was the Up Distant for Shepton Mallet, for which I already have details. Still seeking a photo of the Down Distant....if anyone has one.....:-)
