LMS_LNER_SR_GWR_fan2004
Hi everyone, I'm looking for the correct coaches for the Hornby eurostar as I really want to create the full 20 car set but I'm having trouble finding the right coaches as Hornby only make particular ones. I have tried hurst models but they're out of stock. If anyone could help me I'd be very grateful as the eurostar is my favouite electric unit
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted March 19, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 19, 2018 As far as I know, Hurst are the only people to have made kits to enable a complete pair of 373s to be built in 00.

Hi, I will keep checking just in case they bring any new ones out but other than that, do you think it would be worth sending a letter or email to give them an idea that probably other people would want as well. Kato can do it, so why can't Hornby?

Kato can do it, so why can't Hornby? The problem really is that it's a very limited market in 00. A 20-coach train is a hell of a size.
woodenhead
I think like the 91 this is a model of something with a now limited shelf life as newer real trains replace them. I wouldn't hold your breath for any additional coaches other than what is ready tooled.
MarkAllen
Evening I’d certainly like to model a full 20 car set too but as you have found there’s nothing off the shelf. I have made a start on some TS cars by chopping two into one. The plan is to try moulding these to make the full 12 TS and 2 TBKs. As yet I’ve not worked out what to do about connectors other than trying to source the Hornby ones and modifying somehow. It’s very early days as you can see but one day! NickL2008
Model rail did an article on how to model the buffet and Trailing cars, as Hornby never did the articulated ones, easy enough to do, but it will involve a lot of cutting and shutting NL

LMS_LNER_SR_GWR_fan2004
Hi all! I have been doing some research and found that a company on shapeways does the missing coaches in ho scale but they are only the bodies and they also do the rest as well. If anyone is trying the same thing as me I think this would be very helpful Regards Matthew Here is the link for the cafe coach: https://www.shapeways.com/product/9BAMSN829/amenagement-2e-classe-eurostar-intermediaire-ho?optionId=60608957&li=more-from-shop
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted April 2, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 2, 2018 That’s for an interior for me, here is the buffet. Expensive though, particularly in WSF, you’d have to really want one!
LMS_LNER_SR_GWR_fan2004
Hi, Sorry about that but you woul probably find that you would spen similar money on cutting and shutting and resin moulding as well
muddy water
I had some hurst kits, so I am using the sides for a pattern to cut the Hornby ones up. Using plastic card and old plastic bottles to make new ends. It probably will not be 100% accurate, but the Hornby model was not in the first place!
