FPH 603
I've been feeling a little 'Aussie Minded' lately, so I've decided to make a separate thread to put all of my NSWGR/Australian Outline stuff away from my British outline projects. My reluctance to build my BR Class 112 DMU led me to proposing to build a couple of NSWGR Single Deck Suburbans (Red Rattlers) alongside this British Outline project of mine, so I can interchange between them when needed. I'm unsure of exact details yet but so far I plan to make two cars: Motor Car - Leeds Forge Standard Type w. Beclawat (I don't think that's spelt right) windows - Indian Red - (I'm thinking maybe C3138?) Trailer Car - 1927 Standard w. Original windows - PTC Blue/White - Car no. not yet decided NSWGR Railmotors and other stuff will be posted here too. FPH 603
Something else I've been working on: a NSWGR 600 Class. This project was backlogged for much later but since Eureka Models are going to produce one of these I might as well get mine under way ASAP! The overall shape of the body is nearly complete but the cab roof dome is an issue as it has an oddly shaped headlight protruding out of it and the shape of it is pretty much impossible to get to right, so I'm not sure what to do here... FPH 603
Well since the last post there has been progress! It's really starting to look the part now, after TWO YEARS of trying to perfect the shape of this train I've finally done it! The front is nearing completion and soon I will properly cut the headlight socket into the cab dome and hopefully I should get it looking something like my profile picture!

SMR CHRIS
Nice rendering of the RM car body dose sketch-up, make it easy to reproduce the tumble home for the lower car sides ?? Will be interesting to see these done Are you going to 3D print this one or build in Styrene, with the Sketch up rendering you could possibly get Laser cut in styrene done. Not really, but once I figured it all out I was very happy as I'd been trying to do this for a very long time. I've been putting more details such as the roof vents and other side details so I hope to post more tomorrow. I don't think I could make this to HO scale but it would make an alright O model. If all goes well I also hope to make the DEB sets, 620/720 and 660/760 Railmotors as well. I hope to try and 3D print it but the laser cutting option sounds interesting too, and I'll have a look into that!
FPH 603
Behind the scenes over my inactivity more progress has been made. A while ago I visited the Rail Motor Society at Paterson on their open day, which gave me an opportunity to see a 600 Class for myself. These photos are now outdated, but I thought it might be worth posting. Note this discolouration around the windows of some of the images.
