drgj
Can the nameplate mouldings be easily removed without damage? On my loco one isn't central on the splasher so would like to correct this. Is my search for perfection going to be destructive? Here I am talking about a recent issue loco with higher detail rather than the old ex mainline type. Thanks Dave Edited March 27, 2018 by drgj

They are glued in, on top of the splasher, and onto the sides of it, and inset into the frames. It additionally is the painted component of the splasher, so you do need it. However with the boiler removed, it is quite easy to trim off what you don’t need, which could be all of the nameplate, but leave yourself the tip on top of the splasher, to attach your new plate, or leave unnamed. My example will become 45524 Blackpool, though I need a chassis for it. Edited March 30, 2018 by adb968008
RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted March 31, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 31, 2018 As it’s Easter, and it’s sitting on my shelf, without a project, I couldnt resist this pose.. (Surprisingly it is not a straight forwards fit !).

RMweb Gold farren Posted April 16, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 16, 2018 (edited) Dose Bachmann do the 3 different types of deflectors for the Patriot ie straight, curved and anguled. I sure if you ask Judith Edge kits that they do a set of smoke deflectors for Gordon highlander. Edited April 16, 2018 by farren
