I have this magazine and but I am missing a few pages from the front I am trying to track down the name of the author of the industrial estate article

I thought I had put it in the heading it was November/December issue 1994 other articles include a history of Hornby Dublin and an article about modelling Lngmoor military railway

But it doesn't give the author, other articles do, so possibly the author was never acknowledged. It sometimes happens. It could also be the editor, as they often don't want to put their own name against every 2nd article. C.J. Freezer often didn't, although clearly the drawings and style were very similar to his.

In my database, if the author isn't named, I enter them as Anon.

Sorry for confusing you, its just a guess on my part. No idea of who the editor was, as I only have one issue of MRE and its not that one!

Hi Scottishlocos,

 

I've found my copy of the Mag and , as you say, the article 'An Industrial Estate' on page 56 is not credited to any individual by name.

 

The Editorial team is listed on page 1 as follows:-

 

Executive Editor - Richard West,  Editor - David Jinks,  Editorial Assistant - Danny King.

Afraid I have no idea if any of those named are members of this forum or still have involvement with any model railway publications.

 

I do recall that 'Model Railway Enthusiast' changed its title to ''Model Railway Collector', sometime before ceasing publication quite suddenly, but I can't give dates for either of these events.

 

Others contributors on here may be able to give you further information, or searches on the internet may help.
