grahame
I recently visited the Grottes de Ham in Belgium. You have to catch a tram to the caves entrance from the town centre. Here's some pics of it (the weather was appalling so apologies for the poor quality): G.

RMweb Premium brushman47544 Posted April 9, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 9, 2018 Is the tram ex-Vicinal? Yes http://users.skynet.be/tramdehan/ Went to the Grottes once when living in Belgium. A horrid wet day, we decided to find somewhere warm instead!
whart57
Is the tram ex-Vicinal? It looks very much like a standard SNCV/NMBS diesel tractor at the front so I'd say yes.
RMweb Premium Dava Posted April 26, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 26, 2018 There's a similar vehicle in my album from Liege Tramway Museum http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/image/53465-ar-93/ Some of these diesel trams had motors from Sherman tanks fitted for freight haulage. 009 micro modeller
What are the trailer coaches in the photo? Is it a remnant of the original Vicinal network?
RMweb Premium Dava Posted May 4, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 4, 2018 What are the trailer coaches in the photo? Is it a remnant of the original Vicinal network? Yes these are [restored] ex SNCV 'summer' crossbench trailers, there is one in the SNCV museum at Schepdaal. http://en.sporvognsrejser.dk/photos/schepdaal-postkort-
Derekl
Those coaches look really comfortable in the rain.
RMweb Premium Dava Posted May 4, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 4, 2018 Those coaches look really comfortable in the rain. Similar to 'toastrack' coaches on the Manx Electric Railway, except the rain often comes in sideways from the sea and they have roller blinds.
