HST poor running

Hi all, hoping someone can help. I’m having issues with my Hornby HST FGW, it is running very erratically. Regardless of which loop it’s on it appears to be stopping on the curves, a little touch and it may move before stopping again, although sometimes stutters on the straights (rarely). It runs on DCC, I have changed the decoder to a one from another loco and it made no difference.

 

I have done the following checks

 

Clean Wheels

Clean backs of the wheels

Clean contact pickups

The wires that go from the pickups to the pcd board are all intact, I can apply current to the solder points on the board and works fine

I have checked each axle in turn and they pick up fine

I have twisted the bogies and each axle still picks up

 

I honestly can’t see any wires not attached or pickups not touching, I’m completely stumped.

Hi Jonnyuk

 

Just a thought - have you checked the back to back measurements on the wheels? Seems strange unit stops on corners and you have thoroughly checked all other suspects.
