AberdeenBill
Hi all, NO idea if this has been posted before (sorry if it has...) but at the very end of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ppIcD_8HSQ we see an interesting Indian Railways guard's/brake van obviously inspired by the LNER/British Railways design. Bill That's been the standard 4-wheel design used by IR (code: BVZC) for decades now. Only recently (within the last 6-8 years) has this design been improved and the brake van's length been increased and had ICF bogies (code: BVZI) added for better ride quality and some have better facilities like toilets and solar powered lighting added. Bill It is perfectly possible to arrive at the same design conclusion with no knowledge whatever of what other people have done. You could equally well say it looks like the SR standard brakevan (which dates back to 1928 well before the LNER thing).
Londontram
It's a generic design I can't see how its been influenced by anything other than practicality and necessity.
