Cliffs Common is coming along well. Operational NER slotted post signals are working as is the level crossing gates. Scenery looks good...nice new layout to be unleashed on the world at our show.

A fine set of pictures of layouts due to be exhibited next weekend.

https://www.facebook.com/255524804592290/videos/675777012793765/

These include Cliffe Common, Shap and Headingley.... not sure why Chapel is included as it won't be coming to the show this year.

We are fortunate to have access to the Grammar School at Leeds.

They have two large car parks, an excellent (and large) refrectory which serves hot breakfast, lunch, teas, coffees, juices and sandwiches. Always space in there to have a sit down and rest away from the hall and foyer.

It is an easy access building for all and has excellent toilet facilities.

The Hall has been fitted with LED lighting (which brightens the hall up) and it's size means we can have wide aisles for visitors to get around the show with ease. (We were given 9 feet as a monitor aisle width by West Yorkshire fire brigade and try to make the aisle as big as this.)

If you haven't been to the show then give it a whirl. 2 free children for every paying adult has been available for a number of years and we saw an increase in children attending last years show which is good for the hobby.

the breakfasts and lunches seem to go down well.

I have to avoid the puddings unfortunately... wonder if it will be ginger sponge and custard one day this weekend?

it is a "refectory" I'll have you know.... :jester:

I bet it's a bit posher than the "refectory" at Devonshire Hall after a disco (remember the infamous trapdoor?)...
