timbowilts
A search on RMWeb didn’t provide much information so here goes. In 12 months time we will be relocating from North Wiltshire to Swansea. What is the situation with shops for model railway bits, other than RTR, in the area? TIA, Tim T

Linners
R and R hobbies is located in Swansea City Centre, Holt Model Railways is at the end of a pleasant bus ride/drive to the Gower. R and R hobbies railway dep't is located upstairs and is not always open, even when the shop and plastic kits section, located downstairs, is open. Bilbo
Holt Model Railways is your best bet, although their web site doesn't appear to be working at the moment(useful for checking what they stock) . Voyles on the Trostre estate is good , don't be misled by the fact it also seems to be a TV shop, theres plenty of stock but he doesn't have a website. R&R in the City Centre(an arcade) is only open Friday and Saturday for Model Railways(which are upstairs) and then limited hours. A Trip to Cardiff will give you Lord & Butler and they have a really good shop plus Antics in the City Centre.

Voyles has the advantage of being adjacent to a 'Retail Park' (which has seemingly replaced much of Llanelli town centre) which may be of interest to other members of the family. Holts has a pub nearby for lunch.
