517 number plates

Hi

 

For members of the class in their later guise, eg per this shot at the peerless Warwickshire Railways, http://www.warwickshirerailways.com/gwr/gwrbsh1692.htm would the number plates have been later recycled for the 48xx when they were renumbered into the 14xx series? Reason is to wonder if I need, obvs "need" and not "want", is whether I'm safe to order what are listed as 14xx number plates from the name plate suppliers

I would have thought they would just cast a new set. I doubt they would be storing old number plates for a number of years in case they might need them again.

   

It shouldn't really matter seeing as they were all standard sizes.
