Triang/Hornby power bogie

The old Triang/Hornby power bogie, as used in the Blue Pullman, DMU, AL1 etc.

Is the metal retaining clip and felt pad that secures the armature in place still available? Peter's Spares don't list them (not as far as I can see).

Yes, you are looking for Part numbers S3127 Clip, S5108 pad. and the bearings if you need them are S5104. All listed on Ebay

Those ball bearings improve the Hornby A3 chassis if you put a S1504 bearing and a brass shim between armature and magnet on the XO4.   Doesn't help with the other XO4s but the A3 chassis runs backwards compared to the rest.    

The A1A A1A and CoCo bogie never runs as nicely as the Bo Bo  because they don't have the ball bearings to control end float.     The Bo Bo armatures also fit the K's Mk 1 motors!
