brianusa
If you have got past the title and you are into WW2 aviation pictures, you might have figured out why this picture is mentioned at all. While a typical MGM Lassie starring Peter Lawford in a pre Oceans role from the forties, it features quite a few aircraft sequences - principally Bristol Blenheims and Curtiss Tomahawks with Lockheed Hudsons in the background. Missed the first few minutes but for a dog picture, it wasn't that bad helped by gorgeous Canadian scenery in Technicolor. Story was a bit far fetched; supposedly in Scotland(?) our hero is on a mission over Norway, dog stows away and shares a parachute with PL after the plane is shot down. Usual stuff after that and ends with tearful reunion with girl friend and Dad back home accompanied by soaring strings on the soundtrack. All this and bad Germans too but no Elizabeth Taylor! Brian.
