dasatcopthorne
I've only recently seen 37033 in blue with large numbers but small double arrow. Was this the only loco in this livery please? Or what others carried it? Thanks Dave.
forest2807
Not sure about others but don't forget 033 also carried yellow Highland Rail stickers/vinyls for a while when based at Inverness.

GordonC
Quite a few of the Motherwell Ravenscraig ones were similar, particularly when numbered in the 37310-37325 range

GordonC
The large numbers also applied when they weren't 37/3s though (certainly to 37088, not found examples of the others) https://www.flickr.com/photos/158722/27714559130/in/dateposted/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/60776612@N02/6744904911/in/photolist-bh2peZ-dS9QK4-Fxsu4c-dvtwhW Also I'm sure some of the Thornaby ones were so treated (but that may only have been 37069) https://www.flickr.com/photos/71592768@N08/20723908811/in/photolist-xzis5B-7yZpH6-9VX729-dqFABk-civzn7-cNnrqd-7sbgCa-6SNSo3-7yZqjK-qrffbW-7YRbqk-9hGn2j-cikBKS-duSbZ2-7yZsdt-dpsVdW-6SNTzy-hVjcyf-oZ29Ky-fyhgbL-ecRLjt-bc3enP-8hfvZq-ivDSSH-WjnV6u-fEfAJ8-a8MoL9-CFGmXg-a64sxq-nkC7ym-r4ABVn-e69NZs-guHuST-dgvdj9-yV4CsJ-8mgE4U-k1XaD2-fdem7J-6VNFJs-e64Sxg-h7c2vc-aE5WZb-ans2m7-9B9GSi-6VNF6Q-fQdm9M-2MzfEy-mTKYW8-St44qa-pNWbWw

forest2807
Does anyone know definitely the correct size of numerals applied to this loco - 'normal' large or 'slightly-smaller-Scottish' large? I have a transfer pack of each and I'd like to get cracking.
Pete the Elaner
Several hundred miles away at Stratford, 37358 carried BR blue with large logo & numbers.
37114
37099 was another, I think 37039 did as well. Edited September 13, 2018 by 37114
GordonC
Does anyone know definitely the correct size of numerals applied to this loco - 'normal' large or 'slightly-smaller-Scottish' large? I have a transfer pack of each and I'd like to get cracking. I suspect it'll be 'normal' large. Some of the 47s at least had slightly-smaller large numbers - look for photos of 47617 and 47578 as examples. I thought the 37s all had normal sized numbers .... and having said that I'm now just waiting on someone coming up with a photo to prove otherwise! ... GordonC
hmmmm, the numbers on 47617 and 37262 together at Inverness look suspiciously similarly sized https://hiveminer.com/Tags/47617%2Cclass47 and 47578 https://www.flickr.com/photos/killie65/2147366272/in/gallery-67828476@N02-72157633743572944/ comparing to normal sized https://www.flickr.com/photos/neil_harvey_railway_photos/6104550602/in/gallery-67828476@N02-72157633743572944/ but now having looked at it, I'm not sure https://www.flickr.com/photos/robert55012/5586063859/in/photolist-9vC3aR-8YXHpR-8jArav-nZ8cXu-JTiemS-qYMxfD-9Sc2xS-CZ5z7p-MBp6ej-D1J9eh-bEM7ox-fckBmU-bEM78D-ndQRef-bEM77a-2sMYtX-brSez9-25SjR2j-oFwXD8-fGjwSh-gQEyQj-9DuNPr-281rtpE-qzB93E-jJRi4Z-gS4JST-bEM7ax-pTM1eT-bEM7gP-qnxQV6-9vF4F3-brSerS-ACScjH-eBZ9rb-27MxkGw-eAA88y-b9M66T-bZtkGq-h5MXEw-dTF2h8-V3xbRn-YXJ4Nd-nr8k4V-otG3hp-bw86RG-AhBNxv-qedLPT-oKeCvC-NtDCXb-bEM7cZ were the slightly, smaller scottish numbers perhaps an Inverness depot thing ... and 37033 does have the highland rail logo. This looks like 37033 with a normal sized Large Logo 47 behind which certainly looks like it would have had the slightly smaller scottish numbers too https://www.flickr.com/photos/robert55012/5586654252/in/photolist-9vF4F3-brSerS-ACScjH-eBZ9rb-27MxkGw-eAA88y-b9M66T-bZtkGq-h5MXEw-dTF2h8-V3xbRn-YXJ4Nd-nr8k4V-otG3hp-bw86RG-AhBNxv-qedLPT-oKeCvC-NtDCXb-bEM7cZ-hggNfc-eTL8rR-9RuFpZ-Jafni1-rib5nG-fixuP9-nAG5oo-ZJG6ss-K8NLqN-bGYu12-SNqZ6w-kh1Mya-8EAQv3-gmbWYb-pa3Jc4-SW2qum-b2a1B4-Hsjbgz-Jh9Cte-fExCao-bQpCTK-ctpjzS-qf7nhe-QHi5Qw-2aFUpYj-req18t-dSRFiw-9BVn7q-niDBiJ-fyqaST
