long island jack
I've been drafted in as replacement,(due to layouts pulling out) it's a few years since 59th and Rust, (under the new name for the show of "East Ferry" ) was there, it has changed, there's a couple of more trees grown, and location maybe moved to across the Hudson to New Jersey, into CNJ country!! MarcD
We could have been on of the layouts. We have had to pull out of the show for family reasons. We are hoping to be there with one of our layouts next year. Marc

RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted September 18, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 18, 2018 I am hoping to replace the Romford wheels on my old Jinty with the original wheels if I can find them otherwise it wont make it through the turnouts on the layout I am helping on. Yellow baseboards this time. Will be a first for me.
kevpeo
Yellow, are you bringing one of New Bryford's old layouts? Just cleaned the last of my wheels ready for Coppell's trip to Oustende this weekend. Then I'll have to do them all again for ours!!!! Kev.
RMweb Gold Phatbob Posted September 19, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 19, 2018 Yellow, are you bringing one of New Bryford's old layouts? Just cleaned the last of my wheels ready for Coppell's trip to Oustende this weekend. Then I'll have to do them all again for ours!!!! Kev. The idea behind the Tri-ang layout is to have yellow baseboard tops with the edging and drapes etc in red, so as to be reminiscent of the old Tri-ang packaging. Looks better than it sounds, trust me.

MRDBLUE17
Hi everyone, The demo box is packed and looking forward to the weekend, there’s 5 of us from Scottish Modellers/DEMU attending with a varied selection of modelling demos in 2mm and 4mm planned. So stop by and have a chat at the show. Where else can you see two of the finest West Coast layouts in action? Hope to see you all this weekend. Thanks Mark

RMweb Gold Phatbob Posted October 12, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 12, 2018 Last minute panic.com presents, in association with Emergency Substitutions Ltd;APPLEDORE.Due to circumstances beyond his control, Mike can no longer bring the Tri-ang layout. So I'll be bringing Roundhouse's "Appledore" layout in its place. We'll be using my rolling stock.Sorry if anybody's disappointed at missing the Tri-ang layout.Maybe next year instead?
RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted October 12, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 12, 2018 Unfortunately this little loco won't be getting a run after many years as its wheels are a little too coarse for Appledore. At least it's having its first trip on a Pendolino

long island jack
Slowly drying out,(inside and outside) from a wet weekend, as always a great weekend at Barrow show, thanks to Ian and all the crew for making it possible. High light of the weekend, was how to pronounce " Sainsbury" right, as told by a couple of scouser!! One sad note, and a bit worrying, I had to have a coffee as my last drink on a Saturday night as my beer tank was full!!!!
