ianmacc
Thought as someone with a dual interest in rail and road transport I’d enquire if anyone knew of any good road vehicle model specialists with retail premises that would otherwise fall under the radar on model railway listings. Dalesman diecasts in Leeds Is a good one. Never made it but another was GRA models in Stamford that shut recently. The only directory I know of is Adrian Hall’s site ukmodelshops and although it’s excellent I’m sure (hopeful anyway) that there’s more out there... Nearholmer
I think the one in St Martin’s Court in central London is still in being - tends to specialise in the more up-market brands producing short runs.

I believe that has closed, though as I'm now retired I can't check that! I did find a small "collector's" shop in Chesham high street, lots of wonderful stuff including Oxfords. Nearholmer
Still open http://www.stmartinsmodels.co.uk/opening-hours/ The shop on St Martins Lane next to the hardware shop closed and they moved into what was motor books railway section, just round the corner, iirc. RANGERS
Hadn’t realised Gra’s in Stamford had closed. Called in if I was parked at that end of town but was never a regular. Toy fairs are usually the best bet for die-casts nowadays, the specialist shops have largely fallen victim to the march of eBay and the general trends in retailing. RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted July 7, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 7, 2018 Toy fairs are indeed the best bet, many are listed in the Railway Modeller (after the exhibition lists). One of the biggest toy fair operators is Webbs http://www.j-jwebbtoyfairs.com they have toyfairs in Newark, Lincoln, Spalding and at York racecourse as well as Brentwood which is my local one.
