For those who weren't there, this was to approximately T scale, the locos featuring see-through spoked wheels. They moved slowly and smoothly up and down the track and somehow remained on the rails despite an absence of flanges. The exhibitor invited speculation from the viewers as to what the nature of the motive force might have been, but preferred to intrigue us rather than enlighten us.

[Edit] And I must say, this was among the best ever Wells shows. Seemingly very well attended, too. Congratulations to all concerned.

Anyone going today I hope you enjoy, their is no reason not to! It's the only show in the west where you can get bits and bobs, several projects I have can now continue thanks to branchlines, wizard, comet, dart castings, but the biggest bargain were to be found in the boot sell in the car park....Bachmann wagons for a pound! Or two if in a box, Bachmann jinty £20, Bachmann gwr pannier set £25,

ready to plant buildings of which I bought highley station for three quid!

I ended up with a boot full of goodies befour I got out the car park then there was the market on the doorstep of the show for food and drink, grand day out

A suspicious gathering if ever I saw one...

If any picture screamed caption quiz hear it is

Especially with the threatening way the captin is holding his knife over those double bacon eggs sausages and hash browns

I am going for... publish that pic and be dammed!

I went yesterday, a good show :good: and as always, well worth the visit. I have pics, but they're all a bit high resolution and not all that good as I was testing a new camera.

I went yesterday, a great show, but I couldn't find Amiens. One big surprise was that Coopercraft were there, He seemed to have more stuff on his stand than the last time I saw him.

Agree. I don't think he had any Toplight components last year. Or the 6-wheel Midland coaches.

Picked up some good bargain books.

As always, an excellent show, with some striking layouts.

Am I the only one to have enjoyed the sight of the local bus bouncing down the road behind Ballyconnell Road station - evidently there were some very prototypical potholes!

Best wishes

Had a superb weekend displaying Amiens 1918 - Trackes & Trenches, can safely say it's been one of it's best outings to date!

Was great to hear so many positive comments about the layout, plus get to put a face to a few names too.

Just editing up a little video of the show, which will hopefully be ready in a few days time.

Amiens looked splendid, Callum. My apologies but you were either chatting or away from the layout when I passed by in my subtle shirt.....

When I saw it I think it was a Pickfords removals van or similar!

Great show. Paid a short but sweet visit earlier today after missing it for a year or maybe two. Very high standard of modelling I thought. Although all layouts had their own appeal, what some of the N gauge/2mm FS layouts achieved, I think I'd struggle with in OO/4mm!

Some inspirational modelling.

Always nice to see a layout in the flesh that I have previously only read about in a magazine (or here on RMweb). Kind of like meeting a celebrity! This time it was Lower Rose Goods, which featured in the June edition of Hornby magazine I think. Looked just as fantastic as the article.

Just wish I could have spent longer there....

Fantastic show - never been before but need to add to future calendar’s. Well worth the drive down from London.

Nice to see some familiar faces and have a catch up too - superb quality of layouts all round and good trade support although I left not spending anything today.

Primarily went to see Mick Simpson’s Callaton micro so everything else was a bonus - too many good layouts to list and I didn’t manage to get pics of all as I ran out of time.

Here’s a few to add to the above collection:

Ah sorry about that Rob. Maybe another time. Had to get away to have a look at some of the other stunning layouts, was great to finally get to see Clutton for the first and last time (with a family connection to the station/signal box). Was certainly a special moment when the two last trains passed for the last time

And ! During my discussion with him he said that he is currently haveing his moulding machine reconditioned!

Perhaps it's not dead!!!!!!!!!!!!

iirc, T-scale is 1:450. This model was 0.75mm/ft which is about 1:400.

He promised to let out the "secret" just before closing time. I think he was enjoying various peoples suggestions as to how it is done. Seemed to work very well although, as I naughtily pointed out, none of his locos have outside valve gear.
