A Week in Whitby

Thanks for sharing - smashing pictures. I am a little biased but still think the NYMR is the best of the preserved railways at its best. Whether it is riding the whole route or just doing a short hop, it has something to offer for everyone. The link to Whitby has given added flexibility and the last couple of times I have been we have just done a return from Grosmont to Whitby. Always plenty to see down the MPD too Haven't been yet this year but hoping to pop down in September.

 

PS - that LT liveried class 20 looks intriguing!

Great pics We just spent a few days just outside Whitby - we stayed right next to the Larpool viaduct, so a 2 minute walk yielded this kind of view -

Thank you for sharing, your photos went up to that neck of the woods three times last year and for numerous reasons didn’t manage to get t NYMR. Must try better this year.
